Women's Adventure Travels is a boutique travel company that specializes in small, well-curated and customized trips for women. Aside from the inherent adventure at hand, all WAT trips have an empowering and fierce feminine thread throughout, supporting women-owned businesses and celebrating women of influence and distinction in each market, be it a hotelier, a chef, an artisan, a conservationist or a village woman defying the local or global odds.
The unique elements of these trips reflect my wide-ranging background as a long time savvy traveler, adventurer, and impassioned person. I have meticulously woven my experience in producing international concerts, tours, and LA fashion events, as well as my work as a travel writer and global photographer, into each and every WAT trip. I am over the moon to be taking bits of my past and present into this fierce feminine future with all of you.
Surrounded by spirited, like-minded women and set in stunning landscapes, WAT trips provide a mad mix of outdoor and adventure activities at various levels, to suit you. We are kicking off Women's History Month right this March with a WAT POP-UP. Women's Adventure Travels has partnered with the Lancaster, PA, Girls on the Run chapter for a fun-raising event. We are headed to Virginia's premier wine region for two nights and three days, with R&R on the agenda.

Karen is a well-known and respected luxury travel and lifestyle writer with a sense of humor, a wicked sense of adventure, and an insatiable appetite for off-the-beaten-path endeavors.
As an award-winning playwright and international comedian, Karen hit her international stride twenty years ago. She entertained US troops and audiences at clubs, colleges, and corporate events, as well as at theaters and comedy festivals worldwide.
Ten years later, she ended up on Hollywood’s raging red carpet, interviewing the celeb set and writing about trends in travel, fashion, beauty, food & wine, and the Hollywood lifestyle. Since then, she has traveled to seven continents and 70+ countries as a travel writer and photographer. Her dynamic and entertaining stories have appeared in Vogue, Architectural Digest, Robb Report, American Way, and Hemispheres Magazine, among others.
She is a true professional passionate about travel, women's empowerment, and hilarious, heart-wrenching storytelling.

Not sure if a group trip, all-women, or even if WAT is for you, then this is a chance to test the waters. Dip your toe into our pool. After this, we are sure you will DIVE DEEP into all that WAT has to offer.
This is where it all started with WAT. Our classic all-women pre-scheduled trips have a fierce feminine thread woven throughout. Destinations include South Africa, Botswana, Norway, Antarctica, and more. The three tenets of the WAT company are prevalent on all WAT trips, with a focus on Community, Empowerment, and Story.
